Set high above Lake Maggiore in Orselina, this striking home by the late Swiss architect Tobias Ammann opens onto an extraordinary panorama stretching across the lake, mountains and Brissago Islands. Sculptural concrete, clean lines and open spaces frame the landscape, creating a beautiful balance between architectural character and the warmth of Ticino.
Life here naturally gravitates towards the view. The open kitchen, dining and living area flows onto a panoramic terrace, while below, a grapevine-covered pergola offers a wonderfully peaceful setting for long lunches, reading or simply doing very little. A few steps further, the slender 10 × 2 m private pool reaches towards the horizon—an unforgettable place for a swim overlooking Lake Maggiore.
The home accommodates up to six guests across three lake-facing bedrooms, with two full bathrooms, generous living spaces and everything needed for a comfortable stay. From morning coffee above the lake to slow afternoons beneath the vines and evenings watching the changing light over the mountains, Casa Essenza is designed for enjoying both the architecture and its remarkable surroundings.
The house is arranged over two levels and includes internal and outdoor stairs, so guests should be comfortable with steps. The private pool is unheated and available seasonally, depending on weather conditions. Free parking is available nearby, and upon arrival we’ll welcome you personally, show you around Casa Essenza and make sure you have everything you need to settle in and enjoy your stay.

Important Information – Please Read Before Booking
For stays at Casa Essenza, a security deposit of CHF 500.– is required prior to arrival.
Following check-out, the property, furnishings, equipment, and pool area will be carefully inspected. Once we have confirmed that everything is in good condition and no damages or extraordinary cleaning requirements are present, the full CHF 500.– deposit will be refunded within 72 hours.
Further information regarding the security deposit and payment procedure will be sent separately by email prior to arrival.
